Installation Guide

Beginner-friendly setup path with quick start and detailed steps. Follow this once and your first secure reel can be online in minutes.

Quick Start (about 5 minutes)

  1. Install and activate MEYDY Reel Studio from WordPress plugins screen.
  2. Set your private audio directory in plugin settings.
  3. Create your first reel and upload at least one track.
  4. Choose access mode (Public, Limited, or Disabled).
  5. Share reel URL and test playback in a private browser window.

Detailed Path

  1. Install plugin — Plugin activation screen.
  2. Configure storage — Private directory path field.
  3. Create reel — Reel creation form.
  4. Upload tracks + access mode — Track list and access controls.
  5. Share + verify — Public reel page and playback test.

Troubleshooting

SSL / Not Secure warning

Ensure your site URL is HTTPS and valid SSL is active before sharing client links.

Private path mistakes

Verify the directory exists and is writable. Prefer a path outside public web root.

No tracks in reel

A reel must include at least one audio track to publish playable content.
