FAQ
Clear answers for product, setup, security, and licensing questions before you share music in real business workflows.
What is the difference vs private SoundCloud links?
Reel Studio runs on your own domain and is built for private delivery workflows. You get signed playback URLs, private storage guidance, and analytics in one place — instead of relying on third-party profile links.
Can I self-host and keep domain ownership?
Yes. The plugin runs on your WordPress installation, so reels stay on your domain and inside your own stack. No external service owns your URLs.
Are raw audio URLs exposed publicly?
Playback uses short-lived signed URLs. Private directory setup is recommended to prevent direct file access outside the player.
Who is this for — only labels?
No. Teams use Reel Studio for labels, media companies, agencies, clients, collaborators, and private reviewer lists. Any workflow where you need controlled music access benefits from it.
What are Free vs Pro differences?
Free covers unlimited reels, unlimited personal share links, core reel-level analytics, and the full Dark/Light styling — including rounded corners. Pro adds advanced analytics (track-level plays, listen time, UTM/geo), CSV export, additional style presets (Ocean Blue, Bold Accent, Rainbow Burst, Metallic Disc), custom eyebrow title, and per-reel contact email mapping.
How does license activation/deactivation work?
Pro licensing is managed via Freemius. You can activate or deactivate sites according to your plan limits from your Freemius account dashboard at any time.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
After your billing period ends, the plugin continues working under Free capabilities. Your reels and data remain intact — you just lose access to Pro-only features.
